Position Description: The Payroll Administrator performs all functions related to employee payroll. The Payroll Administrator’s responsibilities include maintaining payroll systems, consolidating timesheet information, entering data into payroll database and processing paychecks. The Payroll Administrator assists the Controller and Accounting Manager with the proper and timely recording of all payroll transactions.
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Collect new hire documents and perform new-hire setup in payroll system.
· Be proficient with payroll for all classes of employees including hourly union employees, hourly prevailing wage (non-union) employees, salary union employees, salary non-union employees, and hourly non-prevailing wage non-union employees.
· Maintain payroll master files accurately, including Benefits and Garnishments.
· Execute weekly & bi-weekly payroll for all employees and track PTO.
· Report and pay all payroll taxes and liabilities on a weekly basis.
· Prepare and distribute all Form W2s. File Form W3.
· Be proficient with Labor & Industries workman’s compensation insurance rates.
· Be proficient understanding and applying FICA, FUTA, SUTA and all other labor taxes imposed by the State and Federal Government.
· File all projects’ Certified Payroll with LNI and LCP Tracker on a weekly basis.
· Manage employee changes on health insurance plans, including COBRA.
· Timely and accurately process rehires, employee separations, layoffs, apprentice level increases, and promotions.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (preferred). Minimum 3 years experience processing payroll for 50 employees (salaried, hourly, union, and non-union). Proficient in Microsoft Office, Payroll Software (Quickbooks, Accumatica). Demonstrated strong organization skills. Experience with commercial construction, Public Works preferred.
